Introduction to Trauma Physiotherapy Course

Course Aim

Developed by senior trauma physiotherapists, the Alfred's Introduction to Trauma Physiotherapy Course explores the principles of trauma management across the continuum of care. The content presented covers acute trauma injury profiles and the physiotherapy assessment and management skills required to support patients throughout the acute phase of care.

This course is designed for new graduate physiotherapists and those seeking to build knowledge and confidence in the acute trauma area.

At the end of the course, and in relation to the acute trauma cohort, participants will be able to:

Course Dates

Session 1 – *** March 2027, 13:30-16:30 online

Session 2 – *** March 2027, 13:30-16:30 online

Each afternoon covers DIFFERENT content so attendees are encouraged to attend both sessions. You cannot register for just one session (i.e. the registration fee covers whether you attend one session or both sessions). The sessions are delivered "live", and will NOT be recorded (i.e. you need to "attend" during the specified times: 13:30 - 16:30 hours).

An Advanced Trauma Physiotherapy Course is scheduled for late 2027 and attendance at this introductory course is a prerequisite.
